I wrote a little essay published in the print newsletter of a running club I belong to. I said that it isn’t the gear that matter. The greatest impediment to my success as an athlete is me. It has to do with the mental game.
Well, once I got the Speedlands, I went out and did two events, both 5k races. The first went well. It was a try out. In the second, I achieved a PR, by a good 2:30, which is a huge margin for a 5k. I felt I was cheating: the energy return from my heavy stride was terrific.
I was not sure about it beforehand. But I am sold. I use another brand for my trail races. I will be putting this pair into rotation, and then some, for any road event.
These are great!

A friend is a runner and he loves these shoes. Not a runner here. Just an old guy who decided to keep my feet comfortable. If your feet hurt not much else matters. Won’t go through that ever again! These shoes are like walking on clouds.
