Light, fast, lower stack height, plenty of protection, lots of grip, added gaiter compatibility and a new easy velcro closure round out this trail killer in Speedland's new set of comissions. Attack your local terrain with confidence underfoot in any conditions. The Black and green colorway make this shoe a stand out and the performance is unmatched. This team continues to impress going way beyond other offerings in the segment. These will be getting some miles in 2025 and beyond.

I have worn ALL the versions of the GS models and I like this new GL line for a variety of reasons. The shoe has a lower stack height than the GS models (33mm compared to 37mm) so that you feel the ground underneath your foot a little better. I love that the lugs are a little longer (6.5mm lugs on the GL: PDX) and can tackle more technical terrain. It was super grippy on rocks!!! This line was started with the GL: SVT and with the trails of Hardrock (Silverton, CO) in mind. This shoe is the lightest of all shoes available via Speedland coming at 10.3 oz (for comparison, the Hoka super trail shoe is 10 oz). I like the ability to add a carbon fiber plate for faster trails and the attachments (velcro and loop on top) for easy gaiter attachment.

I've only just received my new pair of GL:PDX but I'm already impressed. These complement my existing pair of SL:PDX nicely. I like the sleek new look and the same high quality construction. The fit is just a little more snug and feels that little bit more responsive. I'm glad to have this new pair and look forward to hitting more trails in this new gear.
