These fit like a glove, super comfortable with great arch support and wide toe box. They cup the heel really well. So well that I went for a walk and went about a half mile before I realized i hadn’t tightened down the strap and boa. The traction grip is awesome, grabs on to everything except pure ice.

Good for shorter faster stuff
These shoes are nimble and fast. The traction is amazing on PNW trails including super technical stuff. I love that the stack is lower so you can get fast foot turnover but you do trade in some cushioning for that benefit. The combo of Velcro and BOA is great, although I think I prefer all BOA (if I don’t have the Velcro just right it kinda cuts off my circulation). I’ve had the GS TAM and GS PGH and I think my fave is still the TAM.. but that’s just because I prefer a wider shoe base (I’d love to see the TAM come back with a tiny bit more cushioning). I can finally throw away my lone peaks!
I have been hunting for a reason to stop buying Lone Peaks and these shoes are the ticket! I typically run in Altra Lone Peaks but solely for the fit. They would blow out every 150-200 miles and were about about as technical as a running in a tube sock. The GL:PDX kick the lone peaks in the D**k! The fit is incredible for my wider forefoot and the grip is unmatched. Love the boa velcro combo. Nothing but good things to say this is going to be my go to shoe for years to come!
