Meet Michelle Buncke – Speedland Athlete

Michelle Buncke is a trail/ultra runner living in Portland, Oregon. She is also a resident physician specializing in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery. When not working at the hospital, she spends as much time outside as possible running on local trails in Forest Park, the Columbia River Gorge, or around Mt Hood. Her racing highlights include an overall win and course record at the Mt Hood 50 mile, first place finish at Kodiak 100K, and 13th place finish at UTMB CCC. She also has several local FKTs, including the Wildwood trail FKT and Timberline Trail unsupported FKT. She is passionate about encouraging and supporting other women, whether on or off the trails. When not running or working at the hospital, you can find her drinking coffee or eating pizza (both of which are plentiful in Portland!).
